Eighth Grade Requirements

Dear 8th Grade Parents,

The staff and administration at Landmark Middle School are extremely proud of the continuous accomplishments of our students.  The 2014-2015 school year will begin and end with celebrations of learning and success.  As of spring 2013, there is no formal promotion ceremony for middle schools in Moreno Valley Unified School District.  Instead, each middle school will be celebrating with some year- end activities to honor students who meet promotion and discipline requirements.

At Landmark, these celebrations will include a trip to Knotts Berry Farm and other special 8th grade activities.  Please review the end of year activity requirements listed below.

Eight Grade -------- Trip Eligibility Criteria:

·         The student must earn a 2.0 grade point average (GPA) overall, including physical education and exploratory both semesters. No F’s in any class 2nd semester.

·         Must not have a yellow or red tardy passport

·         Must have all book, cafeteria, and materials fees paid

This trip is not a mandatory academic trip it is extra-curricular and therefore is strictly volunteer providing your student meets the requirements.
